About the Opportunity

These mid-level positions are for Reports & SQL Developers helping with developing new reports and maintaining existing reports for our product, understanding requirements from customers for developing custom reports using BIDS and developing T-SQL scripts based on requirements from customers to handle issues with their existing data. Focus is on requirements gathering and development of reports and scripts using SSRS and T-SQL. Some travel to customer sites may be necessary for installations and consulting. Will also maintain existing reports and scripts.

Successful candidates must

• Analyze complex external database schema and be able to create reports.
• Define objectives by gathering and analyzing user requirements directly from our customers.
• Complete Reports and T-SQL scripts development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
• Design and conduct tests.
• Provide well-tested, detailed deployment documentation in compliance of existing Configuration Management policies for reports and T-SQL scripts.
• Contribute to team meetings.
• Troubleshoot development problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Communicate with clients to understand requirements for reports and SQL scripts.

Skills/Qualifications

• 2+ years SSRS reports development and T-SQL programming.
• 2+ years work with MS SQL SERVER databases and SQL.
• Experience with the SSAS is a definite plus.
• Experience working with Microsoft BIDS (Business Intelligence Development studio).
• Experience with creating reports / KPI analytics a definite plus.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET platform a definite plus.
• Experience with the Data warehousing/ Business Intelligence platforms is a definite plus.
• Experience working with and reporting from Start/Snowflake schemas and Cubes (OLAP).
• Experience working with and reporting from OLTP databases.
• Ability to handle projects with minimal supervision as well as work in a team environment.
• Experience with improving performance of poorly performing reports and scripts.
• Excellent communication skills a must.
• Strong code testing and debugging skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong Teamwork Ethic and Customer Support Focus.
• Ability to work with large bodies of complex code.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment, highly motivated and creative.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related Technology Field or equivalent experience.
